  • Showers are likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 4 a.m. Those storms could produce heavy rainfall.
  • After a break of several hours, thunderstorms will form again and move into New Jersey by late afternoon, packing 60-mph wind gusts.
  • The flood risk is elevated because of saturated ground.

The severe thunderstorm risk on Thursday is "elevated" in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties.

The pattern for the middle to the latter part of the week will not be continuous all-day rain but rather conditions generally ranging from brief downpours with thunder to perhaps rain for a few hours, according to AccuWeather.

Embedded within the upcoming shower and thunderstorm regime may be small pockets of severe weather, according to AccuWeather.
