The New Jersey Law Journal says Murphy is expected to formally announce the nomination of Rachel Wainer Apter, a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and current division leader with the Department of Law and Public Safety, as his pick to replace retiring Supreme Court Associate Justice Jaynee LaVecchia.

Murphy also told CBS3 that he believes NJ will be "a lot more normal" amid the COVID crisis quicker than what President Biden hopes. Read more: Gov. Murphy: NJ 'A Lot More Normal' By Memorial Day Amid COVID
