Asbury Man Taken To Hospital After July 4 Shooting

The victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities say.

ASBURY PARK, NJ – A 31-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Asbury Park early in the morning of July 4.

According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Shots fired were reported in the 1400 block of Springwood Avenue around 1:35 a.m. Sunday morning.

A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Asbury Park Police Department is active and ongoing.
