ASBURY PARK – After launching the Asbury Ocean Club this past summer, the luxury residential and boutique hotel development is pulling back the curtain, opening The Gallery to a select number of dinner reservations, starting Thursday, December 12, 2019.

With 14 available tables, this intimate dining experience is the first, exclusive opportunity for those in the surrounding area to indulge in the exceptional cuisine, curated wine list and crafted cocktails that only residents and hotel guests have had access to until now.

“We have seen continued interest from the community and Asbury Park visitors in experiencing Asbury Ocean Club first-hand, so we are excited to welcome new guests on property,” says Brian Cheripka, senior vice president, land & development at iStar.

Just as Asbury Ocean Club’s residences and hotel have opened in Asbury Park, The Gallery brings a level of fine dining to the Asbury Park culinary scene. Upon arriving to the hotel lobby for dinner reservations, guests will be escorted up to The Gallery Bar where pre-dinner cocktails can be enjoyed before being escorted to their seats.

Operated by David Bowd of Salt Hotels, guests will enjoy Asbury Ocean Club Executive Chef Michael Dunston’s modern approach to Eastern Shore cuisine in an exquisite candlelit setting, coupled with personalized luxury service.

A new menu debuts each season; the Fall / Winter 2019 menu features a curated selection of small plates, greens and larger entrees, with dishes including Lobster & Greens, Honey Nut Squash Soup, Peppercorn Beef Carpaccio, Skate Milanese, Sauerbraten Osso Bucco, Duck Two Ways and more. Guests also have access to the hand-picked wine list and expertly crafted cocktails, such as the “Winter Oak,” which incorporates the local Asbury Park Distilling Co.’s barrel aged gin, as well as dry vermouth, fig-vanilla syrup, lemon juice and Angostura bitters.

As the design lead for Asbury Ocean Club and iStar’s overall multi-billion-dollar redevelopment project, Anda Andrei, in collaboration with Bonetti / Kozerski Architecture, is the person behind The Gallery’s interiors.

Surrounding white marble café tables, seating includes Danish walnut chairs, while walnut plank walls frame iridescent green upholstered cushions. With views of the pool deck and landscaping, the space features an enormous Italian table carved from a single piece of wood, as well as a limited-edition leather chair by Charles Kalpakian and a vintage Ultrafragola mirror by Ettore Sottsass.

Reservations open 30 days in advance and can be made by phone (732.825.6000) or via the website. Residents and hotel guests will be given priority reservations, and an allotted number of daily reservations will be reserved for guests and residents.
