Asbury Park Accepting Early Tax Payments

As with other communities, Asbury Park announces its acceptance of early and current taxes.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - The Tax and Sewer Collections Department is responsible for billing, collection, recording and enforcement of tax and sewer revenue and is open until 5 p.m. today to collect current sewer and tax payments and prepayments of the first two quarters of 2018.

Gov. Christie earlier this week signed an executive order making it mandatory for New Jersey municipalities to accept prepayments for 2018 before Monday when the new tax law becomes effective. The new law limits some tax deductions to $10,000 but if a tax payment is made before Monday, the impact on property owners is less, officials said.

For more information for Asbury Park property owners, email taxcollector@cityofasburypark.com or call 732-502-5198 or 732-502-5707 or 732-502-5706. You may also may your tax and sewer bill online at https://wipp.edmundsassoc.com/Wipp/?wippid=1304.

Also, payments made be made in person or at the after-hours drop box to the left of the main entrance.

For most of the year, payments can be made by check payable to the city or by cash or money order. At the end of the year during an accelerated tax sale, payments only will be accepted in cash, certified check or money order.

Include your block/lot number, owner’s name, property location, amount and quarter you are paying.
