ASBURY PARK, NJ – With the lifting of various COVID-19 restrictions and the school year ending, the city of Asbury Park and its recreation department have announced their slate of summer programs for kids in the city.

“After an unprecedented school year, it’s more important than ever that Asbury Park youth receive opportunities this summer for learning and enrichment. We are thrilled that Asbury Park Summer Day Camp is back after having to cancel the program last year due to Covid-19,” said Councilperson Jesse Kendle in a statement on the city’s website

“We hope Asbury Park families will take advantage of all of the opportunities provided by the Recreation Department this summer as we near the end of the pandemic. Parents should know health and safety are City Council and the Recreation Committee’s primary concerns, and we are thankful to the City’s Recreation Director Leesha Floyd – who has done an exceptional job handling the challenges of providing safe and effective programming for our children during this unusual time.”
