ASBURY PARK – In an effort to help support local business recovery, the City Council announced a plan to provide free holiday parking for visitors to Asbury Park this November and December.

  • Free parking will be available in Bangs Avenue Garage (located at 605 Bangs Avenue) on weekends in November and December. Hours will be Friday 6 p.m. to 12 midnight; Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 12 midnight.
  • On-street metered parking will be free 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday between Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day throughout the city.

“The effects of the pandemic on our business community has been devasting,” said Mayor John Moor .“The ReOPEN Asbury Park program has allowed our businesses more outdoor space to utilize while indoor restrictions from the state are still in effect. As the weather turns colder, we hope the free holiday parking program will give visitors an incentive to visit our businesses this winter.”

In addition, parking will be free Veterans Day (11/11/20), Thanksgiving Day (11/26/20), Christmas Day (12/25/20), and New Year’s Day (1/1/20)
