Asbury Park Awards Security System Upgrades
New camera systems to be installed at Liberty Park, Convention Hall and on Cookman and Mattison Avenues.
ASBURY PARK—During its April 28th meeting, the Asbury Park City Council awarded Millennium Communications Group contracts to install security cameras in three different city locations.
The first contract calls for the installation of two security cameras at Liberty Park. In addition to the cameras, a network to be connected to the Asbury Park Police Department’s surveillance system will be installed as well for a total of $30,448.
The second contract is for the upgrade of the city’s southern boardwalk security system totaling $92.208.75. This upgrade to the security system on the boardwalk around Convention Hall includes installing six 1080p HD cameras and network reconstruction and new wiring being installed.

The final contract is to install a wireless security camera system at the intersection of Cookman and Mattison Avenues for $20,608.74.
