Asbury Park Man Arrested In Shooting: Prosecutor
An Asbury Park man fired at three people in a passing car, prosecutors said.

KEANSBURG, NJ — There was a shooting along Raritan Avenue Tuesday evening in Keansburg, where police say an Asbury Park man fired at three people in a passing car.
Nobody was injured or killed, and the Asbury Park man has been taken into custody, said Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.
Javione Pearson, 20, of Asbury Park, is charged with one count of first-degree attempted murder, one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of weapon, and one count of disorderly persons simple assault.

At approximately 7:06 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, Keansburg Police responded to Raritan Avenue for a 911 call reporting a shooting. Police found a home with a shattered front window.
Police said that while walking along Raritan Ave., Pearson shot at three occupants of a passing vehicle. One of those shots was responsible for shattering the window of the unrelated neighboring home.

Pearson was taken to the Monmouth County Corrections Institution as he awaits his first appearance and detention hearing.
