Asbury Park Officials Condemn Racist Sticker At Casino

ASBURY PARK—The City of Asbury Park released a statement on Monday afternoon condemning a racist sticker found on the Casino building on April 26.

“The City of Asbury Park is home to one of the most diverse communities in the State of New Jersey, the statement said.

“As Mayor and City Council, we celebrate that diversity and will not tolerate hate or discrimination of any kind.”

According to city officials, Asbury Park Police were made aware of a posting of a racist sticker in the Casino building, and the APPD’s Detective Bureau is investigating the case.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey State Police (ROIC) have also been notified about the incident. If you have any information, please contact APPD Investigator James Crawford at 732-775-4025.
