Asbury Park Riders Log Over 10,000 Trips on LINK E-Scooters

New safety clinics will help new customers learn the rules of the road

ASBURY PARK, NJ – Since launching in May, Superpedestrian’s LINK e-scooters have been taken on more than 10,000 trips by Asbury Park riders, covering nearly 20,000 miles. Demand from Asbury Park e-scooter riders has been extraordinary, with over 4 trips per day on every scooter--making the Jersey Shore city one of the highest-use places in America.

The first silver and bright yellow vehicles were deployed downtown in May with a focus on travel between neighborhoods as well as to and from NJ TRANSIT bus and train stations. With the July 4th weekend approaching, Superpedestrian is busy charging and deploying scooters ahead of time to meet demand.

As LINK service expands, Superpedestrian reminds everyone that scooters are only for those 18 and up, and to always ride on bike lanes and streets, never on the sidewalk. In the coming days and weeks, Superpedestrian will be working with local authorities and community groups to host free ride clinics and helmet giveaways to encourage everyone to “Level-Up” their safe riding skills.
