Asbury Park Tedx Auditions Set For Jan. 18

ASBURY PARK, NJ - Dreaming of warmer weather? Get in the proper frame of mind by watching live auditions for inclusion in TEDxAsburyPark’s 2018 event in May with a theme of "Passion."

Auditions are Jan. 18 at the Paramount Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the open mic starts at 7 p.m. There is free admission and a cash bar.

TEDxAsburyPark is an annual Jersey Shore-based conference dedicated to community, education and innovation. In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, live speakers spark discussion and connections through their stories.

The goal of TEDxAsburyPark is to bring world-leading TEDx talks to the “Jersey Shore” in an all-day event that inspires to learn and think about the future of the Shore.

A limited number of audience seats will be available on the Paramount Theatre stage. On-stage seating will be on a first-come basis, with overflow seating in the regular theater, where there is room for more than 1,500 attendees.

All participants must apply in advance to audition. Deadline for applications is Jan. 7.

TEDxAsburyPark also seeks entertainers, comics, artists, and idea speakers for its sixth annual event, which will be May 19 in Asbury Park.
