Big Man's Bash Celebrates Clarence Clemons Jan. 6
The Big Man's Bash - a celebration meant to coincide with Clarence Clemons Birthday - this year moves to The Stone Pony and is kid-friendly.

Asbury Park, NJ - Big Man's Bash this year moves to The Stone Pony and will celebrate not merely the life of saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who was born on Jan. 11, 1942, but his career which included his sometimes role as an actor, writer and his iconic status at a member of the E Street Band.
The bash begins at 2 p.m. and runs into 11:45 p.m. and is meant to welcome children everywhere but the immediate bar area. Tickets are $32 in advance and $37 at the door and VIP packages are available. All ages will be admitted but you must be 21 and older to drink in the bar area.
Proceeds will go to "Bullying: We're kickin' It," a 501c3 national not-profit organization designed to reduce bullying behavior by improving the overall school and social climate, providing youth with the strategies to balance self-confidence, take responsibility of their own actions and positively intervene to help another.
Kickin’ It delivers support with school projects, intervention strategies, faculty and bus driver support and in-service workshops helping schools to create peaceful classrooms, parent/guardian groups, student mentoring programs and social media support.
The bash includes performances from JT Bowen of The Red Bank Rockers, Joe Bonanno and the Godsons, the Nick Clemons Band, Sandy Mack and friends, Gonzo and his band of brothers featuring Layonne Holmes, the Eddie Testa Band, the Ken Dubman Band, Joey Evans Band, Step Aside, Killer Joe, Scott Phillip and First of June and Jarod Clemons, among others.
Clarence Clemons passed away on June 18, 2011 from complications relating to a stroke. From 1972 until his death, he was a much beloved member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, playing the tenor saxophone.
