Bruce Springsteen Coming To Big Asbury Park Opening

Soon, Bruce Springsteen may once again say: "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J."

Springsteen is the special guest for one of the opening nights of Asbury Lanes, the iconic 1960’s bowling alley-turned music venue that just debuted to the public in recent weeks.

The opening event is the evening of Monday, June 18 at Asbury Lanes, 209 4th Avenue, Asbury Park

To celebrate the transformation, the Lanes will welcome to the stage grammy-award-winning Portugal. The Man to headline the official opening. But it's the other performance that may get Rosalita to come out tonight.

The other performer will be the Tangiers Blues Band and special guest Bruce Springsteen, returning to his "hometown" of Asbury Park for the historic event (he's actually from Freehold).

Asbury Park Master Developer iStar, owner and designer of the city’s “Magic Mile” of waterfront, in partnership with The Bowery Presents, said it is "thrilled" to announce the celebration, kicking off what will be programming of "epic proportions year-round at the venue."

The event is in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County – a private non-profit organization that empowers today’s youth with life-changing programs, serving children that come from some of the most difficult circumstances in the county.
