Bruce Springsteen Misses Asbury Park Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

ASBURY PARK – Greetings to Asbury Park, Bruce Springsteen says. From a distance.

Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to the city he made famous – and other Jersey Shore landmarks – when he was DJing on Sirius Satellite radio this past week.

Springsteen talked about how "everybody misses something" and then he wondered aloud: "What do you really miss?"

"I miss going to Max's and the Windmill and getting a hot dog. I miss walking along the promenade and the beach, boardwalk in Asbury Park," Springsteen said.

Both establishments later paid tribute to Springsteen in Instagram posts (see below).

"I miss sitting at the bar and having some beers and drinks with some friends," Springsteen added.

Then Springsteen launched into something he yearns for that you might not expect, but it helped him introduce the next song.

"I miss baseball. Baseball. I'm not much of a sports fanatic at all but I do like baseball," Springsteen said.

Then, Springsteen sent out a dedication.

"This is for all the things we miss, all the things that makes us us," he said. "All I know is, when this is all over, I'm going to take Patti to a baseball game."
