Need A Holiday Gift Idea? How About The Asbury Park Beach?

The Asbury Park Beach Utility Authority today begins selling 2018 beach passes at 2017 prices.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - Looking for that perfect and unique holiday gift idea? Give the gift of hope that amid the snow forecasts for this weekend, that the sun really will come out tomorrow. The city has announced that 2018 seasonal beach pass gift certificates are on sale beginning today.

The sale has limited dates and hours and will be conducted in the City Hall lobby at 1 Municipal Plaza on Fridays, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 9 and Dec. 16.

The gift certificates may be purchased at 2017 prices and are $70 for adults between the ages of 18 and 61; $20 for seniors 62 and older and $20 for teens between the ages of 13 and 17. Children 12 and under gain access to the beach for free, provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Payments may be made using cash or check. If paying by cash, exact amounts are appreciated. For those paying by check, make it payable to "City of Asbury Park." The gift certificates may be redeemed for 2018 beach passes beginning May 1, 2018 at the boardwalk/beachfront office, Boardwalk and Second Avenue.

The passes may be picked up 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to p.m. weekends. Proof of age may be required when the certificates are exchanged for beach passes.
