Neptune Man And His Dog Die In Tinton Falls Crash

Authorities say a 71-year-old Neptune man died Friday as a result of injuries he sustained in a collision on Route 33 in Tinton Falls

TINTON FALLS, NJ - A 71-year-old Neptune man died as a result of a three vehicle collision along Route 33 in Tinton Falls Friday evening, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Wade Henson Jr., 71, of Neptune Township, was driving a 2001 Ford Focus east on Route 33 at approximately 8:47 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, driven by Christopher Fiore, 46, also of Neptune Township.

Henson’s vehicle was propelled forward and into the oncoming traffic in the westbound lanes where Henson’s vehicle was then struck on the passenger side by a 2007 Cadillac Escalade EXT, operated by Darrell Bradwell, age 60, also of Neptune Township.

Henson was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, where he was pronounced dead at 10:08 p.m.

Henson had one passenger in the car, a large dog, also pronounced dead at the scene. Bradwell was admitted to Jersey Shore Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. Fiore had two passengers in his vehicle; all three were uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and Tinton Falls Police Department.
