NJ SAT Scores 2021: Here Is How Asbury Park Fared
New Jersey just released every high school's average SAT score. Here is how students in Asbury Park performed.
NEW JERSEY – Even during a pandemic, the SATs still play a role for any New Jersey senior who is thinking about college – even with testing sometimes delayed or centers being closed because of the coronavirus.
Patch has put together the list of each New Jersey high school's just-released average scores that the state released and ranked them from top to bottom.
But locally, the Asbury Park School District ranked 302 on the list of 307 districts with an overall score of 822. In Math, Asbury Park ranked 302 with a 400, while ranking 299 with an average of 422 in Reading and Writing.

A perfect SAT score would be 1600, or 800 in each section.
These reports are designed to inform parents, educators, and communities about how well a school is performing and preparing its students for college and careers, according to the DOE.

"We have always stated that the annual School Performance Reports serve as a springboard for discussion," said Angelica Allen-McMillan, acting commissioner of education.
"These discussions are more important now than ever before as students, staff, and others in the school community navigate this difficult time."
