Police Close Oceanport Avenue In Little Silver

LITTLE SILVER, NJ - Earlier this week, police in the borough and in adjacent Oceanport announced that the heavily traveled Oceanport Avenue would be closed between Silverside Avenue in Little Silver and Main Street in Oceanport. There will be no access to Oceanport from Oceanport Avenue although police have posted detours to Silverside Avenue to Seven Bridges Road, according to the borough police department's Facebook page.

The road will most likely be closed through Friday and is required because New Jersey-American Water Company is replacing a 36-inch water main into Fort Monmouth. Access will continue to businesses on Oceanport Avenue in Little Silver.
