"So You Want To Be A Comedian" Returns To Asbury Park
"So You Want To Be A Comedian" returns to The Anchor's Bend tonight and Dec. 28.

ASBURY PARK, NJ - Have your friends ever said you are naturally funny, that you tell a good joke or a humorous story? Perhaps they were just being kind. If your gifts are true, however, you may want to consider showing up tonight as Netflix cameras roll at The Anchor's Bend for their series, "So You Want To be A Comedian."
Located at Asbury Park's premiere Comedy Open Mic which is being hosted by comedian Jess Alaimo, it has a special start time of 9 p.m. where the free comedy show will feature an up-and-coming wrestler trying his hand at stand up. The next session is 8 p.m. Dec. 28 but the shows are free, according to the posting in Asbury Park Life.
In addition to Alaimo, there will be a special co-host at each session.
If the comedy spirit moves you, sign up at AsburyComedy@gmail.com today. According to Alaimo's posting, both veteran and neophyte comics are welcome and each will get five minutes to prove they can provide the laughs, to practice new material or just see if the magic happens.
She promises a "judgement-free zone" to the degree that is possible. Drink specials and a food menu are available. This is open to guests who are 21 or older.
