Summer Concerts Return To New Jersey. Here Are Some Patch Picks
With live music making its return to stages across the state, here are some of the many concerts happening around the state this summer.
ASBURY PARK, NJ – With the COIVD-19 pandemic looking like it's more and more in the rear-view mirror every day, everyday life in New Jersey is getting back to normal. One of those signs of a return to normalcy is the return of live music across the state.
With more and more venues across the state filling out their schedules, here are some of the can’t miss concerts happening this summer in New Jersey.
Rise Against

The Chicago punk rock band is kicking off the Summer Stage schedule at the world-famous Stone Pony on July 31 with support from The Descendants. Tickets can be purchased here.

Asbury Park’s House of Independents will play host to a show featuring this Minneapolis-based punk band on Aug. 5, and tickets are now on sale here.
Guns N’ Roses
There are currently only two concerts happening at MetLife Stadium this summer, and the legendary Guns N’ Roses will be the first one on Aug. 5, and tickets can be found here.
Hot 97’s Summer Jam
New York City hip-hop station Hot 97 brings back their annual summer concert to MetLife on Aug. 22. Summer Jam is known for always going viral, so you wouldn’t want to miss it. Information about tickets and performers can be found here.
Chicago
The iconic ‘70s rock band is kicking off the concert season at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on July 15. Tickets are on sale now.
Luke Bryan
One of the faces of modern country music, Luke Bryan, will be playing at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion on Aug. 8, and tickets are available now.
Dropkick Murphys/Rancid
The two legendary punk bands are bringing their second-annual From Boston to Berkely tour to the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on August 27 with special guests, The Bronx. Tickets are available for purchase here.
Zac Brown Band
The fan-favorite country-rock band will be playing at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on Aug. 5, and tickets can be bought here.
Jimmy Buffet
The legendary Jimmy Buffet will be performing at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion on Aug 12, and tickets can be purchased here.
Southside Johnny And The Asbury Jukes
One of the Jersey Shore’s most iconic bands, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, will take over the Summer Stage at the Stone Pony on Sept. 4, with tickets available here.

You can’t have a summer concert series without mentioning 311. The California-based reggae-rock band is back and will be playing at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden on August 21, with tickets being available now.
The Bouncing Souls Present Stoked For The Summer
After canceling last year’s event due to the pandemic, the Bouncing Souls will be bringing their annual Stoked For The Summer show 0n Sept 5. Also playing that day include Sick of It All, The Menzingers, The Suicide Machines, and Soul Glo. More info about the show can be found here.
