ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Asbury Park Arts Council and the city of Asbury Park have announced the kickoff to the city’s Summer 2021 Mural Art Project will take place this weekend, May 21-23.

According to the borough website, 13 chosen artists from Asbury Park and the surrounding area will take over parts of Cookman Avenue and Springwood Park, creating murals over the weekend as part of the City’s ReOpen [Realizing Opportunities for Public Enjoyment of Neighborhoods] initiative.

“The project not only honors the City’s art-centric foundation, it showcases burgeoning and established local artists while introducing residents and visitors to an esoteric art experience,” the announcement says.
