Tinton Falls Man Killed In Neptune Motorcycle Crash

Michael Miller, 54, was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a Ford Escape on Route 33.

NEPTUNE, NJ - A 54-year-old Tinton Falls man died Tuesday evening as a result of a motor-vehicle collision along Route 33, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.

Michael Miller, 54, was driving his 1986 Suzuki motorcycle shortly before 9 p.m. when he was struck by a 2012 Ford Escape, driven by Jose Pastrama, 52, of Neptune City. Miller was attempting to turn onto the northbound roadway near the intersection of West Bangs Avenue. The motorcycle struck the SUV and Miller was ejected from his seat during the collision, authorities said of the crash reported at 8:58 p.m.

Miller was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he was pronounced dead an hour later, at 9:59 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Neptune Township Police Department.
