Wayside Fire & Rescue Respond To Two Fires In One Day
Tinton Falls' Wayside Fire & Rescue - with help from surrounding fire companies - put out two fires in one day.

TINTON FALLS, NJ - Wayside Fire Company No. 2 was dispatched to a two-story wood-frame house on Bridle Path Dec. 26 for a residential structure fire. The captain arrived on scene and found a fully involved working garage fire, which provoked the second alarm, according to a post on the fire company's Facebook page.
A ladder truck and engine quickly arrived on the scene, establishing a five-inch water source and stretching multiple hand-lines to the building.
Along with crews from Ladder 4-91, Hamilton Ladder 1-90, Oakhurst Engines 1-74 and 1-76, Eatontown Ladder 1-91 and Asbury Park Truck 83-89, the fire was quickly brought under control.
Wayside expressed gratitude to the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office Telecommunications Division, and all the mutual aid companies that assisted at the fire and in covering the town so others could respond to the fire.
These include Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1, Northside Engine Co. 4, Tinton Falls EMS South, Tinton Falls Emergency Medical Service-North Borough, Tinton Falls Police Department, Asbury Park Fire Department, Oakhurst Independent Hose Company No. 1, Eatontown Fire Department, Hamilton Fire Company, Glendola Fire Company and West Long Branch Fire Co. #2.
Later that same afternoon, District 36 RIT (Comprised of Rapid Intervention Team Members from Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 and Wayside Fire Company No. 2) were dispatched to Conover Road in Colts Neck for a working box alarm structure fire. Engine 1-78 and Rescue 2-85 quickly responded to the scene totaling 10 RIT members.
