NEW JERSEY — Forecasters are eyeing a chance of winter weather early this week in New Jersey. According to forecasters with the National Weather Service, there's a chance of rain and show showers early Tuesday.
The cross-country system will track through the Midwest before entering New Jersey early this week. It will bring snow to the nation's northern tier but it will likely be mostly rain for most of the east and south, the Weather Channel predicts.
Some parts of New Jersey will get some snow, likely early on Tuesday. Then it will change to rain, and it likely will have an impact on the morning commute.

Once this next storm moves through, the rest of the week looks clear with another blast of cold air arriving Thursday. Low temperatures will be in the teens overnight Thursday into Friday.
The air this week is not expected "to pack as much of a punch" as last week's cold blast, AccuWeather said. However, it is likely to be a larger and longer-lasting dose of cold air.
It could play a role in the primary form of precipitation for any storm that comes along prior to the end of the month and could perhaps even lead to wintry precipitation, AccuWeather noted.
