ASBURY PARK, NJ – Live music returned to the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park for the first time in 16 months on June 26 with a three-hour performance by The E Street Shuffle.

The E Street Shuffle treated the sold-out Wonder Bar crowd to many of Bruce Springsteen’s greatest songs, with many fans singing and dancing along to the performance.

“Asbury Park fans are back,” Wonder Bar promoter Kyle Brendle wrote on Facebook about the show, saying that people “were literally dancing in the streets.”

The band played many of Springsteen’s classics, including “Born to Run,” “Candy’s Room,” “Jungleland,” “Bobby Jean,” “Rosalita,” “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” as well as more obscure tracks like “Mary’s Place” and “So Young and in Love.”

Jarod Clemons, son of the late Clarence Clemons, who played the Stone Pony a week earlier with his band The Late Nights, jumped on stage to perform “Glory Days” and “Badlands” with The E Street Shuffle.

“The show was a true celebration of summertime at the Jersey Shore and Asbury Park,” E Street Shuffle lead singer Sean Loughlin said in a statement.

“After a tough year, it was great to have a night to breathe, dance, and just have fun. The crowd reaction was amazing.”
