BELLEVILLE, NJ — It was a chance for Belleville cops to get to know some local students in a familiar scholastic setting: aboard a school bus.
Recently, officers from the Belleville Police Department took part in a new community policing intuitive that involved students at Belleville High School and Belleville Middle School.
The officers met students at bus stops on May 29 and May 30, waiting with them until school buses arrived. The cops then took a ride with the students, talking, building bonds and making friendships along the way.
