Belleville High School football coach Joe Fischer has resigned from his duties, a report says.

Belleville, NJ - Belleville High School football coach Joe Fischer has resigned from his duties, effective immediately, a report says.

According to NorthJersey.com, Fischer, who first served as BHS football coach since 2004, stepped down in 2007, and was named head coach again in 2014, cited a commitment to his family and a desire to attain an administrative position as the main reasons for his resignation.

Fischer, a Montclair High School graduate and Montclair resident, has also served as a coach for MHS and was the head coach at Montclair Kimberley Academy.
