Belleville Man Robbed at Gunpoint by Five People in Bloomfield

The group stole a wallet, a Samsung Galaxy phone, a set of headphones and a set of keys.

Four men surrounded a 21-year-old Belleville man while a fifth pointed a gun and told him not to move as the group proceeded to rob him, Bloomfield police said.

The man was walking on Edison Street near Bloomfield Avenue in Bloomfield at approximately 10 p.m. Monday when the five approached him, said Sgt. Anthony Servedio of the Bloomfield police.

The man pointing the dark-colored handgun ordered the victim to stay put as the other four took a wallet, a Samsung Galaxy phone, a set of headphones and a set of keys.

Police were called, but they were unable to locate the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomfield detectives at 973-680-4084.
