Belleville's Independence Day celebration is set for Thursday, July 4 at Belleville Municipal Stadium, 100 Passaic Avenue. (Learn more here)

The fireworks display will start about 9 p.m. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and include a trackless train, games, inflatable rides, and a live DJ.

NUTLEY

The Nutley Fourth of July festivities are scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 beginning at 6:30 p.m., with Franklin Avenue closing from Church to Chestnut Street.

Food vendors will line Franklin Avenue and DJ Rob Franicola will be on hand to provide music and games in the Oval. The fireworks are scheduled to start at dusk.

Franklin Avenue will be closed between Chestnut and Church St. beginning at 4 p.m. and will not reopen until cleanup is finished. (Learn more here)

OTHER ESSEX COUNTY FIREWORKS

As part of its 2018 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series, the county will host three concert/fireworks spectaculars at Branch Brook Park, Weequahic Park and Brookdale Park. (Learn more here)

Those events include:

  • Friday, June 28 at Branch Brook Park, Heller Parkway, Newark - New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Fireworks Spectacular, 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, July 1 at Weequahic Park, Newark – Total Soul, 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 3 at Brookdale Park, Bloomfield/Montclair - New Power Soul, 7:30 p.m.
