Mayor Michael Melham said the meeting was one of the lowest-attended budget votes the council has ever seen, likely due to the low increase.

“Revenues were down last year, which affects this year’s budget,” Melham stated. “With all that being said, we did what we promised to do, we tightened up where we can tighten up.”
