Car Stolen on Franklin Street Monday Morning

Keys were in ignition of stolen car, Belleville cops said.

A 2007 gold-colored Chrysler Pacifica was stolen Monday morning on Franklin Street in Belleville.

The car was idling on the street with the keys in the ignition around 10:15 a.m. while its driver was in a nearby business, police said.

A black man in his early 20s wearing a black jacket with gray stripes and a gray hat reportedly entered the car and drove towards Newark where he reportedly last seen on North 6 Street. The investigation is open.
