Crash In Nutley Amid Snowstorm, Concert Canceled

A crash took place on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 150 at Hoover Avenue in Nutley: 511NJ.

NUTLEY, NJ — Say hello to the snow, Nutley.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, towns across Essex County saw the first snowfall of the winter season. Forecasters predicted the possibility of several inches of snow/rain and 55-mph winds, which created the potential for power outages and hazardous roads. (Read more about the forecast here)

As predictions of snow and ice across New Jersey came true on Thursday, another forecast also reared its ugly head: weather-related crashes.

In Nutley, an accident took place around 3 p.m. on the Garden State Parkway southbound North of Exit 150 at Hoover Avenue in Nutley, blocking the right lane, according to 511NJ.org.

The Nutley Parks and Recreation Department said that a concert at the Radcliffe School that was planned for Thursday evening has been canceled and rescheduled for Tuesday, November 20 at 7 p.m.
