Dog Attacks Dog In Nutley, Causes $3000 Of Vet Bills: Police
A German Shepard attacked a 7-pound Maltipoo in Nutley, causing injuries and more than $3,000 of veterinary bills, police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — A German Shepard attacked a seven-pound Maltipoo in Nutley last week, causing injuries and more than $3,000 of veterinary bills, authorities said.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place on June 12 on Kierstead Avenue.
The Maltipoo's owner told police that she was walking her dog when the German Shepard ran out of an open front door while the homeowner was out getting their mail. The larger dog sprinted towards the Maltipoo and started attacking it, she said.

The German Shepard’s owner was able to grab their pet and bring it inside, but not before it caused a few puncture wounds to its underbelly and back, police said.
The Maltipoo was brought to an emergency care veterinarian, who diagnosed it with possible bone fractures and internal injuries. The bill to date allegedly totals more than $3,000, police said.
