Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Own Driveway, Cops Say

Belleville driver reportedly blocked in by thieves during morning robbery.

A Belleville resident was robbed in his car while he was parked in his driveway, Belleville police said.

Police said a Wilson Place resident was parked in his driveway at 6:48 a.m. on Thursday when a Silver Acura MDX containing three black men blocked his driveway. 

A man wearing a rag over his face got out of the car and displayed a silver revolver. A second man approached the driver from behind and asked “what have you got”?

The thieves reportedly took the driver’s wallet, which contained credit cards and a driver’s license, from the car’s center console.

Police said they drove east on Wilson Place.
