Driver Safety Course In Nutley May Help Save On Insurance

Participants will receive a completion certificate to apply for a premium reduction for three years with their insurance carrier.

NUTLEY, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Township of Nutley. Learn more about posting announcements or events to your local Patch site.

Commissioner Steven Rogers and the Nutley Department of Public Affairs and Health are pleased to introduce a low-cost Driver Safety class to be held at the Nutley VFW #493 building at 271 Washington Avenue. The class will be taught by a trained AARP Driver Safety volunteer.

The date for the one-day class is Wednesday, April 8, 2020. The class begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch at noon so attendees should bring lunch and a beverage to the class. Attendees are asked to arrive no later than 8:45am.

Participants will receive a completion certificate to apply for a premium reduction for 3 years with their insurance carrier. Individuals could contact their insurance carrier before registering to determine specifically how their carrier recognizes the completion of a ‘defensive driving’ class.

The fee for the course is $15.00 for AARP members and $20.00 for non-AARP members, payable when registering. Pre-registration is necessary and class size is limited. Course is open to all drivers, regardless of age.
