ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Essex County College track and field team recently provided a welcome boost at a food distribution event in Branch Brook Park.
Accompanied by coach Lionel Leach, the student-athletes chipped in during Essex County’s food distribution event on Nov. 24 at the park. The program was geared toward families who have been forced out of work due to the coronavirus pandemic and needed food support.
“I believe it’s important for our student-athletes to support the community … it was a pleasure for the students to be part of the event” Leach said.
