When the Nutley Raiders bested the Montclair Mounties on Saturday, they accomplished a feat that hasn’t been done for 17 years.
That’s how long it’s been since Nutley beat their Montclair counterparts on the gridiron.
The game was decided on the margins of one touchdown, 35-28. But the Raiders’ offensive performance was the most scored by any Nutley team against Montclair in their previous 69 encounters, NorthJersey.com reported.

Standout performances were turned in by Nutley quarterback Anthony Condito, who finished with two rushing scores, one throwing touchdown and added a 40-yard interception return, and Montclair running back Daniel Webb, who finished the day with 276 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday, scoring on rushes of 55, 56 and 4 yards, NJ.com reported.
The Raiders now stand at 4-0, the Mounties at 0-4.
