Ilene Dudek & Lovlee Art Studios Team Up for Preschool Art Club

Ilene Dudek, author and illustrator of the Little Ant series, will be teaming up with Lovlee Tang of Lovlee Art Studios for a virtual Preschool Art Club program. This all-inclusive art and learning experience, designed for children ages 18 months to 6 years, features prerecorded art demonstrations, nature video shorts, alphabet instruction, and more. Ilene’s Little Ant books will be included in this curriculum as a 6-week series. Each book will be featured in a story time with sensory-rich art projects and experiences—all led by Lovlee Tang. Lovlee will go beyond the brush to discuss important lessons of each book, including teamwork, friendship, good health, and bullying. By mixing art and literature, Lovlee will inspire children to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Lovlee is the owner and director of Lovlee Art Studios in Bloomfield, NJ. Before opening her studio in 2017, Lovlee owned a state licensed, home-based preschool called Lovlee Day Academy. This preschool emphasized art, nature, and play-based learning approaches combined with kindergarten fundamentals. Today, Lovlee recognizes the need for a similar enrichment program. She states, “With all of the changes that have taken place in all our lives due to Covid-19, I wanted to create a space for parents with younger children to build in daily/weekly consistency, fun learning, and creativity!”

A collaboration with author and illustrator Ilene Dudek from Nutley, NJ was the right fit for her program. The Little Ant series is a collection of whimsical stories that address common childhood situations. Each book uses humor and irony to teach valuable lessons. First introduced in 2017, Little Ant books have since grown into a 6-book series and have been shared in over 30 local author events. This new venture takes the series to the next educational level. Ilene states, “I am so excited to be a part of Lovlee’s Preschool Art Club. It is the perfect, creative space to learn and grow with the little ant!”

Preschool Art Club will coincide with the 2020-2021 Academic School Year. Members will receive access to prerecorded videos, themed projects, parenting tips and tricks, and more.
