Loss Of Yogi Berra Still Sore In Essex County

Around 1,000 mourners and fans showed up at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center to pay tribute to the baseball legend.

The loss of Yogi is still raw in North Jersey.

During a public memorial tribute to the life of the recently-deceased baseball legend on Sunday, the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center welcomed around 1,000 people to their grounds to honor the Hall of Fame catcher.

The event included heartfelt messages from Yogi’s sons, Larry, Tim and Dale Berra, his grandchildren, Lindsay and Larry Berra, Montclair Deputy Mayor Robert Russo,

Tribute performances included Montclair High’s Passing Notes, Jazz House Kids, the New Jersey Youth Chorus and Hillside’s Drums of Thunder.
