Newark Man Accused of New Year's Gas Station Robbery
Alleged robber also connected to thefts in Elizabeth, police said.
A 23-year-old Newark man was arrested in connection with the New Year’s Day armed robbery of a Delta Gas station on Union Avenue in Belleville, the Belleville Times reports.
Trevor Williams was arrested in Elizabeth, where he is also suspected of a string of armed robberies. The Times reported that he was charged with possession of an imitation firearm for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault theft, burglary, and eluding police and was held at Union County Jail.
