Missing Nutley Woman Found At Wendy’s In Belleville: Police

Nutley police helped to find two missing people in a week, including a woman found at a Wendy's restaurant in Belleville, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police helped to find two missing people last week, including a woman found at a Wendy’s restaurant in Belleville, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the first incident took place on Nov. 11.

Authorities released the following description of the incident:

“Police conducted an investigation into a missing 66-year-old woman who left her residence at 3 a.m. The family member who reported her missing worked with police, who contacted the Port Authority and area hospitals. Police sent a broadcast to other police agencies, and at approximately 1 p.m. that same [day], Belleville officers located her in a Wendy’s restaurant. The missing woman was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and removed from the missing persons database.”

According to the Nutley Police Department:

“Police conducted a search when a Nutley resident was reported missing. Police initiated the search when the caller reported that the 68-year-old Nutley man has not been seen or heard from since November 5. It was discovered that his registered vehicle was still in his driveway, without any indication as to where he may be. As all missing person investigations, police conducted a quick and thorough investigation to ensure he was safe. As investigators reached out to prosecutors, state police, hospitals, family and friends, including media outlets, detectives were able to locate him in Pennsylvania. He was in good health and there by choice. The alert was rescinded and he was removed from the missing persons database.”
