More Lawn Sign Shenanigans In Nutley Reported To Police
A carload of people allegedly kicked a lawn sign that supported local police. A group of people allegedly stole a Black Lives Matter sign.
NUTLEY, NJ — More lawn sign shenanigans have been reported in Nutley, authorities announced Friday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township, both on the same street.
Oct. 11 – (Coeyman Avenue) “Officers responded to the area on a suspicious incident. The resident reported that a silver, four-door sedan stopped in front of their residence and [people] were seen kicking a lawn sign before getting in the car to leave. It should be noted the law sign said ‘We Support Our Local Law Enforcement, Have You Hugged A Cop Today?’ There were numerous signs on the front lawn, all in support of law enforcement.”

Oct. 13 – (Coeyman Avenue) “Officers responded to the area on a report of theft. The victim stated they saw two male parties and one female party run onto their front lawn and take their sign that read, 'Black Lives Matter.'”
