Nutley Cops Find Juvenile Bleeding From Knife Wound: Police

Police charged a Nutley teen with aggravated assault after he allegedly injured another youth with a knife, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Police charged a Nutley teen with aggravated assault after he allegedly injured another youth with a knife on Monday night, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to Mt. Vernon Street around 10 p.m. after getting a report about a fight. On arrival, police found an injured juvenile, who was bleeding from a knife laceration.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital.

The suspected assailant – who fled the scene – was later identified as an 18-year-old Nutley resident, police said.

Authorities charged the teen with aggravated assault and weapon possession. The incident is under investigation, police said Wednesday.
