Nutley Driver Says Imposter Racked Up $1K In E-ZPass Violations
Someone driving a damaged Ford Focus has racked up nearly $1,000 in E-ZPass violations on a Nutley resident's account, police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — Someone driving a damaged Ford Focus has racked up nearly $1,000 in E-ZPass violations on the account of a Nutley resident, police said Monday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, a victim recently reported a case of fraud, alleging that somebody has been using a copy of their temporary New Jersey vehicle registration that they still possess.
Nutley police said that multiple notices from E-ZPass have captured a silver Ford Focus hatchback with heavy damage to the front end and slight damage to the rear bumper, which does not belong to the victim.

As of Monday, the victim has received 15 violation notices totaling $971 in charges on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, police said.
Contact was made with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to cancel the tag, police said.
