Nutley Residents Are Being Scammed For Sex Photos, Videos: Police

If someone asks you to send them risqué videos over the internet, you might want to think twice before hitting "send," Nutley police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — If someone asks you to send them risqué photos or videos over the internet, you might want to think twice before hitting “send,” Nutley police say.

As part of its weekly police blotter, the Nutley Police Department released the following message on Friday:

However, unbeknown to the victim, the video and photos were captured by the caller, who then threatened to send them to all their contacts if money is not sent. There are several variations of the scam, however they all have the same motive, and that is to have the victim send money via wire or gift card transfers.”
