Owners Of Cowan’s Public, Barrow House Opening New Location In NJ

The parent company behind Cowan's Public in Nutley and The Barrow House in Clifton is opening a new restaurant/bar in North Jersey.

The parent company behind Cowan's Public in Nutley and The Barrow House in Clifton is planning to open a new bar/restaurant in Hudson County at the end of the summer.

Skopos Hospitality Group recently announced plans to open a new location in Harrison called The Vanguard. Here’s how the company described the vision for the new restaurant and bar:

“Set as an early 1940s factory utilized for the wartime effort, The Vanguard restaurant and bar nods to the women and men who served on the home front. Comprised of three rooms: The Bar, a ‘Mess Hall’ inspired Dining Room, & a Jazz Cocktail Lounge, The Vanguard has a rustic-industrial tone that reflects Harrison’s industrial past. Enjoy our casual American fare and bar menu with Tiki-inspired cocktails, 14 draft beers, wine, and malts and homemade sodas.”

According to the restaurant/bar’s website, it will be open seven days a week.
