Reading Of Declaration Of Independence On July 4th In Belleville

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Historical Society will celebrate Independence Day 2019 with a colonial-themed ceremony on Thursday, July 4.

“Kick off your 4th of July with the Belleville Historical Society at their annual July 4 morning ceremony at the historic old Belleville Reformed Church cemetery. Final resting place of sixty-eight Revolutionary War soldiers from Belleville and Nutley and site of the Battle of Second River. The 11 a.m. ceremony includes a Roll Call of the Troops accompanied by fife and drum, reading of excerpts of the Declaration of Independence and the firing of a 21-gun artillery salute.
