The man who died in an accident this week on Route 21 has been identified as Jose Pinero, 59, of Belleville, the Belleville Times reported.
Pinero's vehicle reportedly struck the median on Route 21 near Exit 7 (Main Street) on Tuesday morning. He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards at Clara Maass Medical Center.
His wife told the paper her husband was on his way to work as a production manager at Polo by Ralph Lauren in New York.
