First time candidate Daniel A. Carnicella wins seat on school board.

There’s going to be a new face on the Nutley School Board.
Daniel A. Carnicella has won a seat on the Board according to early results provided by the Nutley Clerk’s office.
This Tuesday, Nutley voters could choose three of four candidates vying for school board. Besides Carnicella, the race included Board President Charles Kucinski and board member James Kuchta as well as former Board President Kenneth Reilly.

Carnicella was able to place among the top three candidates, edging out board veteran Kuchta.
Kucinski received the most votes off the four candidates with 3,543. Carnicella came in second with 3,209 and Reilly third with 2,738 and Kuchta with 2,571.

Salvatore Ferarro ran unopposed to serve out the remaining year left open by former Vice President Victoria Flynn, who resigned from the board in June due to her move out of town.
